MEMORIES OF PERTH

27 June 2000 - Visit to Swan Valley

A new day begins as our adventures continue. Peggy and I set of early in the morning. Today, we plan to go to Caversham wildlife park and maybe Subiaco for some shopping. See we were so rush for time, we even had breakfast on the fly. In Australia, they have a fast-food chain called "Hungry Jacks". It's actually the same fast-food chain we have in Singapore called "Burger King". However, their menu is slightly different from what we have in Singapore. So try it to see if you like it.

Traveling in Western Australia is very simple. The buses and train work on a scheduler system. That means that the departure time is pre-determined. Get a bus and train schedule from your hotel or the train or bus station. This will help you to plan journey. There is a number you can call to enquire on how to get to your destination. The number can be found on the bus or train scheduler. I suggest you call the bus/train enquire hotline. The operator is very friendly and will arrange your journey for you. Just tell him/her where you want to go (if possible give the address of the place). The operator will tell you how to get there, whether it is by bus or train. The operator will also tell you of the schedules.
